Latest on Phillip Archer
Phillip Archer has secured his place in the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews.
Having successfully made it through Q-School to earn his playing privileges on the
European Tour for 2010, Archer had to go through local final qualifying to secure
his place on the Old Course from 15th-18th July.
Despite the pressure of only three players going through from each of four local
qualifying venues, two excellent rounds of 66 and 70 over the challenging Ladybank
course were enough to see Archer through and represent the famous Scottish brand at
the Home of Golf.
John Letters are delighted to have Chris Hanson as part of the John Letters
professional tour staff. Huddersfield based Chris turned professional in
early 2006 with a stunning handicap of +2.8 and has already shown
impressive form on both the 'Challenge' and 'Europro' professional
circuits. With Chris in good form, and showing amazing potential John Letters
will be right there supporting him every step of the way. With numerous victories under his belt,
including a win on the Europro Tour at Bovey Castle in 2006,
Chris has become a rising star on the PGA North Region Tour.
